The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra was officially unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked on February 25, 2026. It represents a significant "aesthetic refinement" rather than a total redesign, focusing on making the "Ultra" experience feel less like a brick and more like a sleek, premium tool.

Design & Aesthetics: "The Softening"
For years, the Ultra was known for its sharp, "boxy" corners. The S26 Ultra finally moves away from that, opting for a fully rounded corner design that mirrors the rest of the S26 lineup.
Slimmer Profile: It is the thinnest Ultra yet at 7.9mm (down from 8.2mm).
Weight: Despite the large 6.9-inch screen, it weighs 214g, making it feel surprisingly light compared to its predecessors.
Material Shift: Interestingly, Samsung has moved from Titanium back to a highly polished Armor Aluminum to assist with heat dissipation for the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
The Camera "Island": Instead of individual lenses floating on the back, they are now housed on a raised, decorative glass island. This "plateau" helps accommodate the new, wider f/1.4 aperture lenses without making the individual rings look overly bulky.
The Display: Magic Pixels

The Verdict
The Good:
The rounded corners make it significantly more comfortable to hold.
The slimmer 7.9mm body feels much more modern and less "industrial."
Privacy Display is a genuine "wow" feature for commuters.
The Not-So-Good:
The camera bump causes noticeable "desk wobble" when the phone is laid flat.
The S Pen has been redesigned to sit flush with the new curves, but it has lost its Bluetooth LE functionality, meaning no more "Air Actions" (remote camera shutter, etc.)
