Here’s the latest on Facebook’s June 2025 monetization updates for creators:

1. Content Monetization Program Expansion

Facebook has unified all monetization methods—In‑Stream Ads, Reels Ads, Performance Bonuses, and now Stories monetization—into a single Content Monetization Program. Creators can now earn across public videos, Reels, photos, text, and even Stories, using one streamlined interface  

Invitations have been rolling out since June, and while open enrollment begins in 2025, creators can apply now for early access.


2. Clearer Eligibility Criteria and Control

Facebook has updated qualification requirements: eligible content must be public, adhere to Community Standards (no spam, hate, etc.), and meet minimum engagement metrics (views/interactions) — an industry-wide move toward higher content quality.

In June 2025, Meta further clarified that accounts abusing spam tactics—like unrelated hashtags or engagement bait—will be struck from monetization eligibility.


3. Streamlined Creator Dashboard

Monetization tracking, payouts, and performance analytics across all formats are now integrated into a unified “Professional Dashboard” on mobile and desktop.


4. Upcoming Phase-Out of Legacy Programs

Starting August 31, 2025, Facebook will retire all legacy cadence: Performance Bonus, Ads on Reels, In‑Stream Ads—everything transitions into the Content Monetization Program.


What Creators Should Do Now:

2. Make content public and compliant Ensure your videos, Reels, Stories, photos, and text posts comply with policies—watch out for spammy tactics.

4. Prep for August cut‑over Legacy bonuses and ad tools will shut down after Aug 31; the new program becomes your sole monetization path.
